IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced that it would resume direct flights between Dublin and Miami.
This service will begin twice weekly, then rise to three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays beginning October 31st aboard an Aer Lingus A330–300. This widebody aircraft can transport up to 20 tonnes of cargo, which is comparable to 7 aircraft pallets.
This capacity will benefit the pharmaceutical industry, as IAG Cargo’s Dublin hub is ideally positioned to serve Ireland’s growing pharmaceutical market. Approximately 120 foreign firms have operations in Ireland, including nine of the world’s top ten pharmaceutical corporations.
