The Indian Postal Department, in collaboration with TechEagle, a leading drone delivery startup, successfully concluded a pilot project to deliver mail with the help of drones in the Kutch district of Gujarat at 5X speed compared to surface transportation.

"As the country was celebrating Bharat Drone Mahotsav on May 27, 2022, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TechEagle's flagship drone Vertiplane X3 delivered India Post's mail from Habay village in Bhuj taluka to Ner village in Bhachau taluka of Kutch district in Gujarat," says Vikram Singh Meena, Founder & CEO, TechEagle. "The drone covered a total aerial distance of 46 km in less than 30 minutes which is nearly one-fifth of the time compared to road transportation methods.
