As consumer spending accelerates, IAG Cargo announces the resumption of cargo-only services between London Heathrow and Hong Kong, as well as the resumption of cargo-only services between London Heathrow and Bangkok.
Daily flights from London Heathrow to Hong Kong resumed on June 1, and four-times-weekly flights from London Heathrow to Bangkok resumed on May 24. Since the outbreak, the company has completed over 250 cargo-only flights between London-Heathrow and Hong Kong. Early cargo-only flights in April 2020 primarily carried critical PPE such as hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and so on. Then, three months into the pandemic, the business experienced a significant increase in e-commerce, and as more people worked from home and upgraded their home technology, this was reflected in the consignments that were shipped.
