Port of Baltimore handled 10.7 million tonnes of general cargo in 2017

February 5, 2018: Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore’s state-owned public marine terminals set a new cargo record in 2017 for handling 10.7 million tonnes of general cargo, mostly comprising automobiles. Last year, the port handled more containers and autos than ever. It was the second consecutive year that the port handled over 10 million tonnes of general cargo.  General cargo included autos and light trucks, containers, roll on/roll off (farm, mining and construction
