 Magma Aviation promotes Tom Helyar as Chief Strategy Officer



Magma Aviation, the innovative air cargo solutions company, has promoted Tom Helyar to Chief Strategy Officer. 

Tom Helyar, soon to celebrate 10 years at Magma Aviation joined the business in 2011 as financial controller, progressing to commercial manager and then general manager in 2015. Tom’s passion, experience and expert knowledge of the market and the Magma Aviation business has led him to this new role of Chief Strategy Officer.

In this role, Tom will take a more in-depth strategic position within the business, primarily focused on strategic leadership and operations. 

“The past 10 years has been both challenging and rewarding, and I am grateful that I have experienced the transitions that Magma Aviation has gone through” Tom says. “Joining when the business was an owner managed company, being part of the acquisition team when Magma Aviation joined the Chapman Freeborn Group, and then later becoming part of Avia Solutions Group, has given me real hands on experience, allowing me to develop leadership skills that take me into this new and exciting opportunity, and next stage of my career.

Magma Aviation welcomes Conor Brannigan as new deputy CEO 





Magma Aviation, the innovative air cargo solutions company, onboards Conor Brannigan as deputy CEO. He is an air cargo expert with over 15 years industry experience.

Conor Brannigan joins the business following 2 years at Cargolux based in Luxemburg in a senior role as director strategic alliances and market development. This experience prepares him well for his new role at Magma Aviation based at the London Gatwick headquarters.

Conor will be working closely with Ross Wilson CEO, Tom Wrigley COO and Tom Helyar, general manager as well as the wider group board of directors.
