March 4, 2019: On March 1, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines took delivery of its first B737-800 freighter, newest member of its freighter family that offers greatest efficiency for the standard-body freighter market. The freighter has a carrying capacity of more than 23 metric tonnes of payload with operating economics to maximise efficiency for cargo operations.
